Welcome to the Regional Transit Services (RTS) employee benefits website!

As a benefits eligible employee at RTS, you have a couple opportunities throughout the year to make benefit elections & changes to your enrollments.

NEW HIRE: as a new hire, you have a 30 day window to make your elections in the UKG site.

QUALIFYING EVENT: if you experience a life qualifying event (i.e. marriage, divorce, adoption, having a newborn, change in employment status, etc), you have 30 days from the date of your qualifying event to make changes to your benefit enrollments.  Please see below for additional information on qualifying events.

OPEN ENROLLMENT: during open enrollment, you have a window of opportunity to enroll or make any changes to the benefits you’re enrolled in.

The benefits guide for the 2025-2026 plan year has been posted on the benefits website for you to reference, along with all other benefits package information that’s offered to all RTS employees.

UKG Online Enrollment

UKG is utilized for all employees in order to make your benefit elections, request changes (if you have a qualifying event), as well as process any updates to your beneficiary information (for life insurance).  Simply scan the QR code below with your phone camera and be instantly connected to the UKG Online Enrollment Center:

 

Access Code: RGRTA

Username: Your username is RGRTA plus your entire badge number.  For example, if your badge number is 5989, your username is RGRTA5989.

Password: Your initial password is your birthday in the following format: MMDDYYYY.  You will be required to change your password after successfully logging in.

Eligible Employees, Dependents, & Qualifying Events

Employees

If you are a regular, full-time employee scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week, you are eligible for all benefits offered (included in both the benefits guide and benefits website).

Dependents:

You may enroll your dependents in certain plans.  For benefit purposes, your eligible dependents are defined as:

  • Your spouse (unless legally separated), or domestic partner
  • Your children, including:
    • Your naturally born child(ren);
    • Your legally adopted child(ren).  An adopted child is considered a dependent from the moment the child is placed in the custody of the adoptive parents.
    • A stepchild, foster child, or any child of whom you have legal custody, who resides in your household in a regular parent-child relationship and is principally dependent on you for his/her support and maintenance and is named as an exemption on your most recent federal income tax return (proof may be required).
    • Any child whom you are required to provide health care coverage for under a Qualified Medical Child Support Order

Eligible children (as defined above) are covered for:

  • Medical: until the end of the month following their 26th birthday
  • Dental: until the age of 19 or until age 23, if a full-time student
  • Vision: until the age of 19 or until age 23, if a full-time student

Qualified Life Event:

After new hire / open enrollment, you may change your benefits only if you experience a qualifying life event, such as the below examples:

  • Marriage, divorce, or legal separation
  • Birth or adoption of a child
  • Change in child’s dependent status
  • Death of a spouse, child or other qualified dependent
  • Change in employment status or a change in coverage under another employer-sponsored plan

Requests for a qualifying event must be received within 30 days of the event date.  The change will be added to your coverage as of the date of the event.  If you submit a qualifying event more than 30 days after the event, the change is subject to carrier approval.
